It began like any other work day. I clocked in, drank some coffee, waited on some customers, drank my second cup of coffee, completed orders for delivery, then lunchtime. It began like any other lunchtime. I hopped in my car, went to McDonald's drive-thru, ordered my cost efficient McChicken and Double Cheeseburger, drove up to pay my pittance total of $2.16, but wait... "Sir, our credit card machines seem to be down at the moment. You can just take your food." What started out as any other work day turned out to be, quite possibly, the best day of my life. |
