I feel that Orbit Gum has been dominating the chewing gum industry as of late. And then out of nowhere, boom, enter the new and improved Trident Layers.
I don't know what sells me more: the unique in-between layered flavoring of two different fruits or just that the packaging is so cool.



Here we have the front of the pack. To open the pack of gum, we must flip to the back of the pack...



...shown here. The arrow indicates a little slot in which the tab is inserted to keep the cover from opening unwantingly. Now when we actually remove the tab from the slot to open the pack, that's when things get discomforting...



"Where's my gum?" Did we not follow the conventional opening of gum packages to access what we want? What's going on here?
No need to get excited, though. This neat box is folded in half, so when we simply flip it open...



...voila, two neatly aligned rows of chewing gum, each enclosed intricatly with a cool silver wrapper.
Way to go, Trident. Raising the bar and exceeding standards in the gum packaging business; I am a customer for life.
